We have had a fantastic first week back in the Lions room.
We would like to say a massive well done to all of our new Lions who have been so brave, and have settled so quickly. We have also had the pleasure of welcoming back our Lions who had a lovely summer break who all seem to have come back even bigger and more confident. We are looking forward to a very exciting year with you all.
This week we have been very busy with lots of fun activities. On Monday we did some large scale weaving around the table legs using wool. The children showed really high engagement levels throughout, and then had great fun using the upside down table as a stage, to do some dance performances!
On Tuesday we practised our cutting skills, we gave haircuts to some paper people! On Wednesday we looked for wriggling worms in the mud! We used tweezers too pick them up and put them in pots!
On Thursday we made our very own Mr Potato heads out of vegetables, this was a great starting point for lots chats about our golden rules, which the children are getting really good at following already!
Finally today we turned the tables upside down again, and this time did some cling film painting! Initially the children found this very funny! But they really enjoyed painting this way, and together have created a beautiful masterpiece.
We look forward to seeing you all again next week!
